I deeply regret having treatment here. After excellent HIFU results on my face with a different provider, I booked for my upper arms, attracted by the low price. The session in September was very uncomfortable and I wasn't offered any numbing cream. Since then I've had persistent pain and weakness in my forearms that has affected my daily life — simple tasks like driving a short distance, hoovering or ironing are exhausting. From my own research, nerve irritation seems a likely cause. I was contacted by two members of staff and offered a further treatment to help. I had an appointment booked well in advance but when I arrived after an 80-mile round trip, the premises was shut and no one was there for nearly half an hour. I've since been offered a credit note, but given the circumstances I feel a refund and reimbursement for travel expenses is entirely reasonable. Neither has been forthcoming. I am still dealing with these distressing side effects.

For anyone thinking of booking, here is my honest account. The booking process via WhatsApp was quick and simple. However, the premises were noticeably run-down compared to the previous clinic location. There was no answer on the intercom when I arrived. The practitioner arrived just before opening time without acknowledging she was late, despite my appointment requesting 15 minutes early check-in. The treatment room was cramped. During the initial consultation the practitioner was texting on her phone, which I found very unprofessional. I felt pressured into paying an additional £30 for a booster and the whole consultation felt rushed with no eye contact or genuine welcome. No post-treatment advice was given, unlike my previous visits to Vivo. For a micro-needling session at £129 I expected a far higher standard of service. A real disappointment compared to previous experiences.

A very poor experience. I booked and paid for a HIFU facial treatment that lasted only 20 minutes. Within a few hours I developed a severe migraine that lasted three days — far beyond the mild headache sometimes mentioned as a possible side effect. When I cancelled my subsequent booked sessions, the clinic refused to refund my deposit despite the next appointment being five weeks away. I found this to be very poor practice. I would not return or recommend.

Really happy with my results here. I had some stubborn bra fat that I hadn't been able to shift with exercise, and Dr Dayana recommended fat freezing as the right approach. How much fat can be reduced in a single session?

The degree of fat reduction achieved in any one session depends on how an individual's body responds to ultrasound energy, and this varies from person to person.

A published clinical study suggests that Ultrasound Cavitation can produce a reduction of approximately 1.5cm of fat following a single treatment session.

How many sessions do I need for the best outcome?

Like the fat reduction per session, the ideal number of treatments is individual. Most clients achieve their best results across a course of 3 to 6 sessions.

Are there any side effects?

No recovery time is needed. Ultrasound Cavitation uses no scalpels, needles, or anaesthesia of any kind.

The moment your session is complete, you are free to return to work, exercise, or any other activity without restriction.

How should I prepare before starting treatment?

It is important to avoid having a tan — natural or artificial — before your sessions begin, as tanned skin can be more sensitive to ultrasound energy.

If you do develop a tan, we ask that you allow at least three days after it has fully faded before attending your first session, ensuring both safety and the best possible results.

What aftercare steps should I follow?

Staying well hydrated is the single most important aftercare measure — drinking plenty of water helps the body metabolise the glycerol and fatty acids released from the treated fat cells.

Following a nutritious, balanced diet throughout and after your treatment course will help maximise and prolong your results.

We also recommend avoiding alcohol for at least three days after each session, as this gives your liver the best conditions to process and clear the released fats efficiently.
